Is there a better way waking up, than listening to your favourite music? If you're one of those guys, that leave their computer running even if they go to bed, this post may be useful for you... We'll use a script and cron to create a "really geek" alarm clock...
We'll start creating the script, that'll be responsible for playing the music files and turning up the volume gradually...

I recieved a white envelope today... when I noticed that the sender was Canonical, I thought: Those guys again? I allready told them, that I'm not interested in working for them, at the moment...
And as fast as I'd recieved the letter, I just left it above the kitchen table... A few seconds later I saw a guy looking at me, in the mirror, with such a defiant expression on his face, that I had to open the envelope as fast as possible... Surprised I noticed that nobody wanted to hire me for any job, it only were the Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope CD's, I ordered a few days ago, I'd just recieved...

Truth is, there's not much to say about, but we'd like to add that we really liked the new and different CD and cover design! We were just about to iniciate a campaign against "three strangers holding hands"...

As we are allready enjoying the current Ubuntu Release, Jaunty Jackalope, the Ubuntu developers are already working on Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala.

Karmic Koala, as Shuttleworth announced on February 20th, is expected to be released on October 29th. Mark Shuttleworth allready anticipates some facts about the new release that continues the tradition of the extraordinary named Ubuntu releases.

Some of the features for Ubuntu 9.10, the developers are working on, are:

• Improve the starting time
• New graphical boot system
• Improvements in the integration of Moblin technologies for Netbook
• New graphical interface
• Extension of the suspend/wake up function for the Server edition

As we are used to, Ubuntu provides us a new release every six month, and keeps us updated at all times by improving the exisiting systems and developing new softwares continually.

The Developing Schedule for Ubuntu 9.10, Karmic Koala is allready published and the key-dates are:

• May 14th : Alpha 1
• June 11th: Alpha 2
• July 23th: Alpha 3
• Agust 13th: Alpha 4
• September 3rd: Alpha 5
• September 17th: Alpha 6
• October 1st: Beta 1
• October 22nd: Release Candidate
• October 29th: Final Release!!

Just a few hours missing for the new Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope 9.04 Release!

The release of the upcoming Ubuntu Version, Ubuntu 9.04, identified by code name “Jaunty Jackalope”, has been announced for April 23rd, this year.
